Lighting Workshop – 3 hours – $500
Studio/Commercial lighting is one of the most exciting and challenging things to learn about photography. A well lit image is a thing of beauty that can put you head and shoulders above the crowd.
Midtown/In town Atlanta location of your choosing. Locations more than 30 miles from Midtown, an additional $100 travel fee will apply. Locations more than 50 miles from Midtown, an additional $150 travel fee will apply. Locations more than 70 miles outside Midtown….let’s talk.
Deborah will work intensely and privately with you, using either your backgrounds and lighting equipment or her own. She will cover all the basics, including;
- How to use a light meter
- How to calibrate lighting set ups and ratios
- How to get a properly exposed file
- How to ‘think’ through lighting issues
- Three different ways to light the same thing
- How to ‘read’ a photograph, to decipher lighting techniques etc

The ‘Fly by the Seat of Your Pants’ Workshop – 3 hours
$350 if you bring your own subject – $500 if Deborah provides the subject
This workshop focuses on shooting on location, using all natural light.
Want to learn how to get those extra special shots that will take your breath away? Those shots where you feel you could swim in a child’s beautiful, limpid eyes? Or how about those wonderful, wacky, topsy-turvy shots of kids just being so….well, kid like?
Basically, Deborah will take you along on a children’s shoot, while discussing different camera settings, lenses and techniques. You’ll get a first hand view of how to develop rapport with the subject, as well as how to get those extra special images.

Portfolio Consultation – 90 minutes – $250
Bring your current portfolio. If you do not have prints, then bring either your laptop or a CD with your portfolio in a file format that permits fast open times. Bring pen and paper as well. Deborah will go over your portfolio first, for an overview. She will then makes suggestions for directions and presentation.

One Hour Follow Up Sessions – $125
Phone Consultations – 30 minutes- $50
